The ministry led my husband and me to Golden UMC, in Douglasville, Georgia which has been the height of my music ministry. That same year, I also started teaching at Yeager Middle School where I am also able to use my gifts by writing music and singing to inspire and motivate students. I now coach and mentor new and experienced teachers in the county. I sang at the 2019 DCSS Gala, and often sing to encourage the substitute and new teachers.

The year 2010 was my hardest year.  I was diagnosed with bilateral stage 3 breast cancer.  I underwent aggressive therapy involving chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and reconstruction; I was given a new reason to sing and praise God.  I also founded the cancer support group L.O.M., Lean on Me Cancer Support Foundation, to pray and support others who get cancer. My faith remained strong as I know God is my creator, healer, provider and sustainer.

My path has been paved, my steps ordered, and I am finally walking in my destiny.  This affirmation has been my foundation and inspirations to compose music, sing, and give my testimony for the Lord!  Our ministry has taken us to St. James UMC in Alpharetta, Georgia. I am blessed to be married to an awesome man of God -- my friend, king and my college sweetheart for 30+ years. My two children, whom I adore are also his blessings.  I’m a cancer Survivor, Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Coach, Psalmist, Woman of God, Entrepreneur and Friend.  God has brought me through the darkness and I am walking in his divine light. I am blessed and highly favored.
